Recently, we wrote a detailed guide on how to run GeForce Now on a Chromebook. In our testing, we found the gaming experience to be quite good, except for some minor latency issues. FYI, GFN even works in unsupported regions using a VPN. So we thought, why not try using GeForce Now on a much bigger screen, say, Android TV? Well, we did, and the cloud gaming experience on Android TV is top-notch. You can play desktop games on your TV and all you need is a fast internet connection. So, if you are interested, follow our guide and learn how to run GeForce Now on Android TV.

Run GeForce Now on Android TV (2021)

Before we start, let me tell you that if you are from USA or Europe, you can easily run GeForce Now on your Android TV without any workaround. However, if you belong to a region where GeForce Now has not yet arrived, you will need a VPN. Don’t worry, VPN is only needed for authentication and not during gameplay.

1. First of all, download GeForce Now APK of here on your smartphone or computer. The APK is developed for Android smartphones, but it works surprisingly well on Android TV. Make sure to download the latest APK version.

2. Next, move APK file to TV. You can follow our guide on how to sideload apps on Android TV to wirelessly move the APK without any hassle.

3. After that, install a file manager on your Android TV. I would recommend solid explorer (To free, offers in-app purchases) because it is easy to use and has a clean user interface.

4. Now, locate GeForce Now APK on your Android TV via Solid Explorer.

5. Open the APK file and install GeForce now on your Android TV right away.

6. Finally, open it and grant all permissions. After that, click on “ Login“. Here you will find a code. Write it down.

7. Now open geforcenow.com/login on your smartphone or computer and enter the code above. Keep in mind that if you are using GeForce Now from an unsupported region like India, you will need to connect to a VPN on your smartphone or computer. After that, you can log into your Nvidia account and enter the code.

8. Once you have entered the code, you will automatically log into your GeForce Now account on the TV. Now to play games just tap on any title and go. Keep in mind that you are going need a gamepad to play the game on your TV.

9. For unsupported regions, you must connect your Android TV to a VPN before playing a game. You can install ProtonVPN (To free, offers in-app purchases) or Windscribe (To free, offers in-app purchases) on your Android TV and connect to a US server.

10. Now go ahead and play any title on GeForce Now on your Android TV. Once the rig has been assigned, you can disconnect VPN on your TV. This will improve your gameplay and reduce latency.
