As mentioned, you must have a custom app icon that you can use to create awesome app icons for your iOS device. The easiest way to find the awesome icons for specific apps is to turn to (you guessed it!) Google.
Outraged, icons8 and flat icon are two of my favorite platforms where you can get a ton of app icons. So, go ahead to choose some of the beautiful app icons for your iOS device. To save any app icon, just touch and hold, then choose the Add to pictures option in the pop-up window.
Use shortcuts to bring your custom app icons to life
- Once you have saved your favorite app icon to Photo Library, launch shortcuts app on your iPhone or iPad.
2. Now press the “More” button in the upper right corner of the screen.
3. Next, press the “ Add action » button.
4. Next, find “Open app” and tap it when it appears.
5. Then press To choose then select your favorite app which icon you want to change. In this test, I will choose Twitter.
6. Next, press the three points in the upper right corner of the screen.
7. Now, give your shortcut an appropriate name and press the Homepage.
8. Next, re-enter the shortcut name. After that press the icon to the left of it.
9. Then you have three possibilities:
- To take a picture: Capture photo to set as app icon.
- Choose the picture: Select the desired image to set it as the app icon.
- Choose file: Select the file that contains the application icon.
As I saved my application icon in the Photo app, I will select the “Choose a picture”. After that, select the app icon from the photo library.
10. Now, adjust icon in the frame and press To choose in the lower right corner of the screen.
11. Finally, press To add at the top right then press Do top right to finish.
So ! You have successfully created an app icon for your favorite app. Now go to the home screen to check. It works like a normal app. Thus, you can place it where you want, launch it to open the corresponding app, and even delete it if you no longer want to keep it.
